Do you accept my insurance?

At Grand River Smiles Dentistry we accept most insurance on assignment. As a courtesy to our patients, we work with direct billing. However, understanding that your benefits are a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company – we are a third party with limited access to your insurance information. The more information you can provide us, the better. We can then advise you on your coverage and the payments required for your dental procedures. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us with your insurance questions.

How has your practice changed with COVID?

There have been several physical and protocol changes at Grand Smiles Dentistry due to COVID-19 safety concerns. As provincial COVID-19 alerts change, please understand that appointments may have to be adjusted. Our infection control standards have always been of the utmost priority even prior to COVID, but increased cleaning and wiping of surfaces both inside and outside of the operatories is continuously performed.

How can I become a patient at Grand River Smiles Dentistry?

Thank you for trusting Grand River Smiles Dentistry with your care. Please call our office to book a New Patient Comprehensive Exam. A member of our team will happily find a time to schedule your appointment. Your first visit will consist of a full examination with the dentist, radiographs (x-rays), extraoral and intraoral evaluation, cavity check, gum evaluation and oral cancer screening. As we are collecting both health and dental health information, it is reasonable to expect to be in the office for 1.5 hours. We also reserve time to walk you through our findings with respect to your oral health condition. We can also discuss or recommend treatment options concerning your functional, esthetic and overall health needs.

You are required to bring: Medication List, Insurance information and a form of payment.

Please note – Please let us know if you have a specific concern or urgent issues that require immediate attention. We can schedule an appointment as soon as possible to address those immediate issues and then schedule the comprehensive exam at a later date.

What forms of payment do we accept?

Cash, cheque, major credit cards and debit.
